Our hope is that all who call this church their home will experience God deeply, learn to connect with others in community, and grow in their service and impact to those around us. Joining a small group is a great way to do that!
Sunday mornings 9AM at JLS
Starting September 26
Ron & Amanda Giles
Please join us this Fall as we study the Alpha group content together. Alpha is a group course designed for people who want to explore the Christian faith, through a series of conversations focused on the questions of life, faith, and meaning, with videos to watch and then discuss together. If you are part of this church and a follower of Jesus, but would like to experience Alpha yourself, this group is for you! Bring your coffee, questions about faith, and hunger to learn. Please email us ahead of time so we can plan for space, or if you have any questions.
We are all broken in body, soul and spirit and need the healing of Jesus.
"God has come to loose the bonds of wickedness, undo the heavy burdens, set the captive free and to break every yoke." —Isaiah 58:6
In Soul Care study we will explore tools needed for healing in 7 principles: Identity, Repentance. Family sin patterns, forgiveness, healing past wounds, overcoming fear and deliverance (seeing spiritual realities in Christ)
"Self awareness is the gateway to life change". This co-ed adult group will be an interactive, sometimes messy process, a journey of self reflection and surrender to loving God. In community we will wrestle together to discover ourselves and the True God on the journey toward freedom.
Please contact Jan Davis at to register.
So, you’ve encountered Jesus, and you may have questions about how to continue to engage with him, hear from him, walk with him. You may have been in this place a few weeks, or a few years… How do you confidently recognize what your NEXT STEP with Jesus is? As a group, we’ll explore together how each of us can recognize and take each next step.
This group is a space for those who have lost a loved one in the past 2 years to process the grief which always comes with being touched by death. We try to create a space that is safe, confidential, respectful and honoring. Please contact Karen in September sometime to discern if this would be a helpful group for you.
Let Your Kingdom Come! What does it mean to live out the Kingdom of God here and now? Do you believe God still works in power today? We are excited about learning and practicing spiritual gifts so that we can take God’s kingdom wherever we go. We’ll do this in a safe, fun, and supportive environment without hype or pressure. Meetings include meals, musical worship, prayer, and Bible study together, and most importantly, our desire is that everyone who comes will be met by God.
We are an intergenerational group with a focus on studying scripture together and prayer. We are constantly amazed at what God can do when people come together in community. We meet for lunch after church on Sundays and also Thursdays at 7pm.
We welcome new members!
For couples in the later stages of married life and faith. We will prioritize sharing stories of our faith journey together, and have contemplative and reflective exercises centered around scriptural passages, and break-out times for couples to develop deeper spiritual connections with each other. Seasoned Marriages is an investment into deeper relationships, and being known by our loving God, committed spouses, and compassionate friends. If this sounds good to you, please contact us!
"Top of the Fourth" is oriented toward couples who have moved beyond the early-marriage issues of meshing lives together and figuring out basic relationships - the first three innings if you will allow the baseball analogy - but are not yet at the bottom of the ninth. This group is intended to span the middle innings of marriage: by the top of the fourth, the marriage moves into the long part of the game. There are plenty of at-bats remaining and some very fun baseball left to play, yet the pitcher's arm is tiring, and the afternoon sun (careers, raising children, financial pressures and other factors) has begun to make its impact on your relationship. This group delves into navigating the middle innings well.
We will meet for (an optional) dinner gathering at 6PM and then we will meet from 7-8:20 to do a combination of Bible study, sharing, prayer, and gleaning wisdom from a book which called Mom Set Free: Good News for Moms Who are Tired of Trying to Be Good Enough. Our goal is to "put the oxygen mask on ourselves" and trust that a spiritually healthy mom is a blessing to everyone around her. We are unable to provide childcare at this time but for those who really need it, we could organize it.
GUY TALK – GUY WALK
Dinner – Devotion – Conversation – Transformation
No “honey-dos” or “boo-boos”, just getting to know each other, enjoying being together, and having a little fun.
C’mon, you know you want it! We will meet for (an optional) dinner gathering at 6PM and then we will meet from 7-8:20.
Women's Small Group is a small group who process together life experiences through God's eyes. We have a 'ponder question' (usually relevant to current events or current experiences in a group member's life) that we discuss in light of what God may be doing in the situation. We study appropriate verses of the Bible that relate to the broad topic from the ponder question [eg - love, trust in the Lord, compassion, etc] and always make time to pray for one another.
We seek to help each other consider what it looks like to flourish as young adults who are seeking to grow in God in the Silicon Valley. We value scripture study, prayer, service and developing friendships.
We are a group of singles and families who are devoted to Small Group Bible Study, prayer and enjoying each other at the end of the work week in Palo Alto.
We are an intergenerational small group that focuses on listening to the Holy Spirit and deepening our connection with God, with one another, and with our communities. We share stories of our personal journeys, study the Bible together, pray for one another, and seek to grow and learn more about God and His Kingdom together. We have no formal childcare but kids and youth are welcome and encouraged to participate!
This group is currently full
Saturdays (1st & 3rd of the month), 7PM-8:30PM, semimonthly on Zoom
Starts the beginning of October

This year-long small group seeks to offer a contemplative environment to draw closer to God through prayer, scripture, art, liturgies, poems, and silence. To help facilitate a deep connection with God and one another, we ask for a high commitment in regards to our meeting times. Group size is limited to 12 participants. If you are interested or have any questions, please feel free to contact us at the email above. The group is currently at full capacity.
